OUR MISSION.

Viryl Technologies® was founded in 2015 by Chad Brown, Rob Brown, and James Hashmi.

The concept was simple – to manufacture and service a new fully-automated and semi-automatic record press while providing consulting for start-up and existing pressing plants.

OUR HISTORY.

Chad’s prior experience as co-founder of the record label Ultrasound Recordings and owner of Acme Vinyl pressing plant in Toronto, Canada, combined with James and Rob’s extensive engineering and international commercialization experience resulted in a plan to modernize the vinyl pressing industry.

In 2016, Viryl introduced the WarmTone™ record press to the industry. By 2018, Viryl had helped more than 16 new pressing plants launch worldwide with state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive operator training. From 2016 to 2018, lead times for vinyl dropped from eight months to an industry standard of four weeks.

Today, the industry faces a similar challenge. This time exacerbated by the 2020 pandemic. Interest in music on vinyl has not been higher since vinyl’s heyday while the global supply chain has been stretched incredibly thin.

With vinyl lead times increasing to up to 12 months, Viryl is ready to rise to the challenge yet again.

Viryl Technologies® employs more than 20 employees and has a client base spanning across North America, Europe, the Caribbean, Oceania and Asia. Our WarmTone™ record press has been received as an award winning, innovative, and reliable solution by the vinyl record manufacturing industry. Our quality and safety first approach has not only improved how vinyl records are made, but how they sound.
