Logistics Coordinator

Viryl Technologies is in search of an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team.  Viryl Technologies is a Toronto based start-up focused on engineering and steering the future of vinyl records. We are partnered with AXYZ International, a globally recognized machine designer and manufacturer.

 

Responsibilities
  • Receive shipments and ensure both quality and quantity
  • Dispatch freight for delivery and arrange for pickups
  • Trace, track and expedite purchase processes
  • Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Interact with third party logistics service providers
  • Audit freight cost and documentation
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventories
  • Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure proper working order
  • Review bills, invoices and purchase orders
  • Assist customers with inquiries
  • Create packing lists and update shipment information in database
  • Organize files both manually and electronically
  • Monitor and facilitate repair orders
  • Coordinate deliveries for repaired or returned items
  • Ensure that the warehouse has sufficient space for incoming deliveries
  • Ensure that all items are properly numbered and tagged
  • Dispose of unserviceable or damaged items
  • Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures
  • Comply with laws, regulations and standards
  • Complete documentation such as pick lists, bills of lading, work orders and shipping orders using computer-based technology
  • Complete daily shipping and receiving logs
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges and damages
  • Rectify problems such as damages, shortages and non-conformance to specifications
  • Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors
  • Assist with training of new employees
  • Complete safety reports in relation to health and safety issues
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally

 

Skills and Competencies
  • Able to work flex hours depending on shipment
  • Team player, excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to details to ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate both incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Applied knowledge of receiving shipments and handling of PO’s, packing lists, and components
  • Familiar with RMA process
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Knowledge of warehousing and transportation
  • Knowledge and experience of inventory control
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Inspection experience considered an asset

Project Manager

Viryl Technologies is in search of an experienced Project Manager to join our team.  Viryl Technologies is a Toronto based start-up focused on engineering and steering the future of vinyl records. We are partnered with AXYZ International, a globally recognized machine designer and manufacturer.  We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organization of key client projects.  Responsibilities include planning and managing execution of new WarmTone press installations, and coordinating build outs for new vinyl record pressing plants.

 

Responsibilities
  • Developing project cost proposals
  • Developing and optimizing plant floor layouts
  • Source and co-ordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Source and support delivery and installation of supporting plant equipment including boilers, chiller systems, air compressors, process pumps, and supporting steam and water lines
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Researching and understanding specific regional regulations and requirements to ensure compliance
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

 

Requirements
  • Strong educational background
  • Proven project management experience on industrial projects
  • Expertise in mechanical equipment including boilers, chiller systems, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to interpret electrical and HVAC schematics, and plant layouts or blueprints
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PMP certification is a plus

Electrical Assembly

Viryl Technologies is in search of an experienced Certified Electrician to assemble the electrical components of systems in accordance with design specifications and customer and quality requirements.  Viryl Technologies is a Toronto based start-up focused on engineering and steering the future of vinyl records. We are partnered with AXYZ International, a globally recognized machine designer and manufacturer. We are looking for an experienced, certified electrician to assemble the electrical components of systems in accordance with design specifications and customer and quality requirements.

 

Responsibilities
  • Assemble control panels, operator interface enclosures, and junction boxes by following schematic and layout drawings
  • Locate and install electrical panels on machine.
  • Field wire I/O devices on machine.
  • Label, set-up and configure electrical devices.
  • Assist controls personnel during test and debug phases.
  • Prepare machines for shipping.
  • Set up and start up machines at customer sites.
  • Maintain control of engineering drawings during build.
  • Return engineering drawings to Electrical Assembly Supervisor or Plant/Service Manager after job is completed.
  • Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, as per engineering drawings.
  • Locate and mount pneumatic valve blocks and service units.
  • Label pneumatic devices.
  • Perform field service duties.
  • Arrange and participate in electrical code inspection.
  • Maintain and order ‘consumable’ items for electrical assembly and take inventory of these items.
  • Transfer unused project material to inventory.
  • Occasional travel to job sites.
  • Ensure all work activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with our policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that self-presentation and expression, demeanor, and dress are appropriate when meeting with vendors, suppliers, fellow employees, customers and customer representatives.
  • Ensure that all safety policies – (relate to appearance or conduct) on our premises or elsewhere are strictly followed.

 

Communication Skills
  • Read, analyze and interpret basic documents.
  • Respond effectively to inquiries pertaining to aspects of functional duties.
  • Interact and give clear, concise, and instructive information.

 

Physical Requirements
  • Walk, crouch, talk and hear.
  • Lift/carry objects of up to 20 kilograms.
  • Have average dexterity to use your arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The sense of hearing, either naturally or with the assistance of a hearing aid
